Shafer records the big team in Nigeria
Shafer Records is the brainchild of a South African-based entrepreneur, Isaiah Oyibo (Shafer), founded as a wholly independent music label on February 17th, 2016.
The label is home to multi-talented recording artistes such as, Theory (Samuel Oyibo), Lugi (Utibe Ndah Mackenzie), and Eluku (Lameed Temitayo Lukmon).
The record label was unveiled, October 12th, 2016.
These creative talents in Hip-Hop, Rap, RnB, and Soul music have all brought in their diverse musical experiences and this has helped a great deal in laying solid foundation for the label in the global music industry.

Mastermind of planned overthrow of Buhari arrested
The Department of State Services ( DSS) has arrested one Jones Abari, aka Gen. Akotebe Darikoro, for the alleged mastermind of a hoaxed plan to overthrow President Muhammad Buhari by the military.
A statement issued by an official of the service, Mr Tony Opuiyo in Abuja on Saturday said Abari was arrested in Yenagoa on July 21. Opuiyo described the suspect as the leader of the Joint Revolutionary Council of the Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force ( JNDLF). He said that Abari had confessed to other criminal activities which included a threat to launch missile attacks on selected targets in Abuja and Aso Rock. Others include writing threat messages to the management of the Nigeria Agip Oil Company (NAOC) and the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) demanding for N500 million and N250 million respectively.

Man stabbed single mum 16 times in stomach after they met on dating website
A man has admitted murdering a single mum he met on a dating website at the home she shared with her five-year-old son.
Miles Donnelly, 35, strangled 44-year-old Usha Patel and stabbed her 16 times in the stomach in a "drunken rage" after she had got undressed.
The couple had arranged to have sex together on the evening of October 7 last year, having met online around seven months before.
They had both taken their clothes off when Donnelly attacked the mother-of-one, causing her injuries to her mouth as he tried to stop her from screaming while he strangled her, the court heard.
Ms Patel was discovered the next day when the boy's grandfather arrived to pick him up and was told his mother was still sleeping.

EFCC seizes N1.350b properties from Fayose
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has seized six choice properties allegedly acquired by Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State with stolen public funds.
The duplexes, estimated at N1.350billion include four in Lagos and two in Abuja.
According to The Nation,they were allegedly acquired for him by his associate, Abiodun Agbele and sister. Mrs. Moji Ladeji.
A furious Mrs. Ladeji has approached the Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti laying claim to one of the Abuja duplexes.
